Your role:
- You will be responsible for Octave’s commercial strategy and business development, bringing our innovative battery
systems to SME’s, big industries and renewable energy greenfields.
- In this role, you will develop and implement Octave’s go-to-market strategy. You will continuously identify new
sales opportunities and focus on providing consultative support to customers.
- You will be responsible for Octave’s sales process from start to end. You will qualify inbound leads as well as
seek direct new business opportunities through various channels (cold calls, email, Linkedin,...).
You follow up on the leads and manage the process until closing.
- Your excellent communication skills will cultivate a strong relationship with Octave’s potential customers and partners.
You are Octave’s eyes and ears in the market: through identifying our customers’ needs, you will suggest appropriate
solutions within Octave’s portfolio.
- In addition you will also coordinate marketing and marketing communication efforts for Octave.
What you will bring to the team:
- Solid work experience in commercial / project development in the energy sector (B2B), preferably in energy storage or renewables sectors.
- Experience in developing and implementing a commercial strategy in the renewable energy sector. Ability to perform market segmentation and identify the needs of customers.
- You have sufficient technical background to understand basic electrical engineering concepts and renewable energy production.
- You have a clear hunter sales attitude.
- Hands-on experience in go-to-market strategies with a track record of achieving sales quotas and targets.
- Desire to work in a fast moving and entrepreneurial environment with a self-starting mentally.
- Experience with CRM software and at ease using MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint and similar tools. Social media has no secrets to you.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver engaging presentations.
- Driven, committed, and resilient approach.
With some (or all) of the following points, you have a clear plus:
- Masters's degree in the field of economics or engineering.
- Fluency in three languages (Dutch, French and English).
- Good understanding of the energy markets.
- Previous experience with advanced marketing lead generation techniques in SaaS digital products selling.
