Your role

• You will help build Octave's commercial strategy and convince potential partners (such as electrical installers, integrators, energy suppliers) of the added value of our advanced energy management solutions and innovative battery systems.
• In this role, you will implement and refine Octave's go-to-market strategy. You will continuously identify new partnerships and sales channels and advise and support existing partners.
• You will be Octave's eyes and ears in the market by participating in networking events and trade shows. This will keep you up to date on the latest innovations and allow you to provide input to the product team on relevant product specifications and market requirements.
• Thanks to your excellent communication skills, you will build strong relationships with Octave's potential partners.

What you bring to our team

• Significant work experience in sales/project development in the energy sector (B2B), preferably in energy storage systems or renewable energy sources.
• Good understanding of energy markets.
• Sufficient technical background to master basic concepts of electrical engineering related to renewable energy.
• A clear sales hunter mentality.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to give convincing presentations.
• Experience in developing and implementing a commercial strategy in the renewable energy sector. Proficiency in market segmentation and identifying customer needs.
• The desire to work in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.
• Proficient in the use of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and similar tools.

If you have some (or all) of the following, you've got a clear advantage

• Master's degree in economics or engineering, or similar experience.
• Fluent in Dutch and English. French is a plus, but not required.
• Hands-on experience with go-to-market strategies and a proven track record in hitting sales targets.

Your role
You will manage our current research projects and be responsible to set up new research projects.
You will work in close cooperation with the founding team (CTO, Data Chief, CEO) and be in contact point with top-tier research institutes and universities.
You will be responsible for:

• Overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of research projects.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with research institutes, universities, and industry partners.
• Writing and reviewing high-quality research proposals, presentations, and deliverables.
• Identifying new research areas and proposing innovative projects.
• Developing and leading the research team.

What you bring to our team

• Senior experience in research project management, with experience in projects regarding batteries, energy storage, or energy management.
• A strong network of contacts within the research community.
• Ability to deliver top-quality deliverables on time and within budget.
• Proficiency in writing and reviewing technical documents.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.

If you have some (or all) of the following, you've got a clear advantage

• A PhD in a relevant field such as batteries, energy Management, or a similar discipline.
• Familiarity with programming and data analysis in python .
