EMS Business Development Manager
Octave.energy is a cleantech scale-up building energy management and storage solutions. We’re hiring a EMS Business Development Manager responsible for the sales and commercial track of our cutting-edge Energy Management System (EMS).
Your Role
EMS Business Development
- Contribute to the EMS commercial strategy, identifying target markets, customer segments, sales channels, and growth opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, including installers, integrators, energy suppliers and end customers.
- Identify, negotiate, and develop strategic partnerships that accelerate the adoption and deployment of Octave's EMS solutions.
Revenue Growth
- Drive revenue growth through effective sales, pricing, and market positioning strategies.
- Develop and manage the EMS sales pipeline and business development activities.
- Contribute to the commercial objectives, track performance, and continuously improve sales effectiveness.
- Support partners throughout the sales process and help remove barriers to successful project delivery.
Market & Product Strategy
- Contribute to the definition and evolution of Octave's EMS value proposition and go-to-market strategy.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote Octave’s EMS solutions and strengthen Octave’s market presence.
- Represent Octave.energy at industry events, trade fairs, and customer meetings.
- Work closely with management team to align commercial activities with overall business strategies and provide inputs for product development.
Skillset
- Strong business development, sales, or commercial experience in the energy field.
- Proven track record of growing revenue and developing partnerships.
- Strong commercial negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Desire to work in a fast moving and entrepreneurial environment.
- Fluent in Dutch and English. French is a plus.
With some (or all) of the following points, you have a clear plus
- Master's degree in the field of economics or engineering, or equivalent level of experience.
- Fluency using MS Excel and interest in AI tools.
- Experience with Odoo is a nice to have.

Fleet Operator Intern
We are looking for a pragmatic Fleet Operator Intern who is eager to work close to real-world operations and take ownership of the performance of Octave’s energy assets. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of monitoring, incident response, and technical operations, contributing directly to the reliability of our battery systems, PV installations, and EV infrastructure. The position is well suited to someone hands-on, proactive, and comfortable switching between operational follow-up, data analysis, and technical configuration in a fast-moving scale-up environment.
Your Role
- Monitor the performance and availability of Octave’s fleet (Battery systems, PV installations, EV stations) using internal tools and dashboards
- Follow up on alerts and incidents, provide first-line support, and escalate complex issues when needed
- Perform ad-hoc data analysis related to failures, incidents, and overall Energy Management System (EMS) performance
- Provision and prepare controllers (Edgeboxes) for EMS deployment
- Perform software and firmware updates on battery systems
- Support the commissioning of new sites, including EMS configuration and validation
What We’re Looking For
- Currently pursuing a master’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field
- Proactive mindset
- A minimum duration for the internship of 3 months
Bonus Points For
- Interest in energy systems, energy management, or cleantech
- Experience or coursework in Python and/or SQL
- Affinity with Linux system administration and IT networking concepts.

Marketing Intern
Octave.energy is a cleantech scale-up on a mission to roll out cutting-edge energy management and storage solutions. We are looking for a driven marketing intern to support our Brand Manager and help build the visibility and brand of Octave.energy.
In this role, you will help ensure that Octave.energy stays top-of-mind with customers and partners, while actively contributing ideas on how we, as a growing company, remain relevant and visible in a rapidly evolving sector.
Your role
- Contributing to LinkedIn posts and newsletters
- Supporting the organisation of trade fairs and events
- Bringing creative ideas for campaigns and brand activations
- Spotting trends and news in the energy sector and translating them into marketing opportunities
- Contributing to website content and online presence
- Identifying opportunities in SEO and GEO to boost our online visibility
Who we're looking for
- Student in marketing, communications or a related field (bachelor or master)
- Creative, proactive and not afraid to pitch ideas
- Strong writing skills in English and Dutch/French
- An interest in the energy sector or cleantech is a big plus
