Your role
Portfolio management & customer success
- Own the runtime performance of the EMS fleet: define, track, and improve KPIs (e.g., uptime, value for battery, asset performance).
- Provide first-line support for EMS-related questions: understand customer needs, propose and implement solutions, and escalate complex EMS-logic issues to the Software team when needed.
- Manage notifications and alerts: investigate anomalies, respond proactively, and coordinate resolution.
- Build and maintain documentation and tools:
- Internal: troubleshooting runbooks, issue/resolution paths, best practices, how-to guides
- External: partner-facing documentation / wiki
EMS operations
- Oversee procurement, setup, and distribution of EMS hardware (Octave Edgeboxes, WAGO PLCs, etc.).
- Commission Octave’s EMS and configure controlled assets (PV inverters, EV chargers, power meters, etc.). Execute tests to validate communications and ensure correct system behaviour.
- Continuously improve operational workflows for support and commissioning, by identifying bottlenecks and proposing improved processes.
What we’re looking for
- Experience in energy systems (or adjacent industrial/IoT environments).
- Strong problem-solving skills; analytical, rigorous, and structured approach.
- Customer-centric mindset with a high bar for service quality.
- Excellent communication skills in English (French or Dutch is a plus).
Bonus points
- Experience with Python scripting.
- Comfort with Linux and Bash.
- Understanding of IT networking concepts.
- Knowledge of electrical systems.
What we offer:
- A hands-on technical role in a fast-growing cleantech scale-up.
- Direct involvement in real battery energy storage projects.
- Flexible working hours with hybrid working (2–3 days in the office, 2–3 days remote, occasional on-site support).
- A collaborative team with strong expertise in batteries, energy markets, and software.
- Competitive salary package.
- Flexibility, autonomy, and room to grow technically and professionally.
