Handsaeme Machinery
Handsaeme Machinery from Izegem is a family-owned company specializing in the design and manufacture of innovative machines for the textile and wood industries. The company has its own production facility, allowing all machines to be custom-made to meet the specific needs of their customers.
After a previous investment in solar panels, Handsaeme Machinery chose to further optimize their energy efficiency with a battery system. Installer Decat installed an Octave Circular Outdoor with a storage capacity of 242 kWh and an inverter power of 184 kW. Through the Octave EMS, we control the battery system to optimize self-consumption in combination with grid services.

Rudy Meyvis
Rudy Meyvis Carpentry from Brecht is a family business specialized primarily in exterior carpentry. The company has its own workshop for processing and preparing their projects, which they always deliver tailor-made. Eco Technics installed solar panels on the roofs of the industrial building in Brecht. To use more solar energy themselves, Eco Technics installed two Octave outdoor cabinets, providing a storage capacity of 484 kWh. Yuso optimizes the revenue model of the batteries for the customer through arbitrage on the imbalance market.
Thanks to Octave's PV curtailment service, Rudy Meyvis Carpentry no longer injects solar energy when energy prices are negative. This way, we aim for maximum financial return, and the customer is ready for the further evolutions of the energy market.

Frans Jansen
The Jansen family runs an agricultural company in Hoogstraten. Their core business consists of dairy cattle, poultry and arable farming. To reduce their energy costs, the company invested in 160 kWp solar panels in combination with a smartly controlled battery system from Octave.

Matthysen
Matthysen is a young and ambitious family-owned company that was founded in 2013 by three brothers from Brecht. In addition to civil works and sewerage works for individuals, companies, and governments, they are now also specialized in energy storage!
The brothers have realized their green ambition through an investment in 2.8 MWh of battery systems, spread across 4 different sites. Matthysen is now the greenest family business in their region!

Thovarco
Agriculture company Thovarco has 145 kWp of solar panels. Previously, about 50% of the locally generated solar energy was injected into the grid.
Thanks to their partner Eco Technics, Thovarco has invested in an Octave battery system, reducing the grid injection of solar energy to approximately 10%.

Bela
Strawberry farmer Bela was an early adopter, installing the first solar panels as far back as 2010. After Bela renovated her asbestos roof, Eco Technics installed an additional 45kWp of solar panels in 2023.
During summer, Bela's nutrient installation for the strawberries is much more frequently operational than during winter. Thanks to the Octave battery system, Bela can now consume more locally generated solar energy, even during the night.

Pelkmans-Vervoort
Family-owned poultry farm in Turnhout with a strong focus on innovation & green energy.
The Pelkmans-Vervoort farm reduced their carbon footprint by investing in 960 solar panels and LED-lighting for their stables. To improve self-consumption of their locally produced solar energy, they invested in an Octave battery system, installed by their preferred partner Eco Technics. On top of that, the family is a pioneer in Belgium: they will help stabilizing the Belgian grid via the joint Octave-Yuso offer and capture additional revenues on the imbalance market.

Dairy farm Godrie
Dairy farmers Gert and Gitte Godrie are taking care of more than 300 cows and a lot of other animals.
They decided to invest in PV solar panels via installer Eco Technics to make their energy consumption green. As one of the pioneers, the Godrie family also invested in a sustainable Octave battery system to increase the farm’s consumption of the locally produced solar energy.

Eneco Belgium is expanding its offer with battery storage systems for SMEs and industrial sites. Octave was selected for a demonstration project at the site of Eneco Solar.

AED Studios
The largest film and production studio in Belgium, also known as “Flemish Hollywood”.
AED studios has a MW-scale solar PV installation and large transformers with plenty of available capacity. Octave’s battery cabinets will enable AED studios to increase their local consumption of solar energy and offer services to the grid operator, Elia, to stabilize the electricity grid.

Terranova Solar
One of the largest solar PV farms in Benelux operated by a consortium led by the Aertssen Group.
Terranova Solar's site produces up to 15 MW of solar energy during the day, but has a minor baseload consumption from the supporting infrastructure and a wastewater treatment plant. Thanks to Octave’s battery cabinet, the site can become independent from the grid.
