Wij zijn ervan overtuigd dat het geen zin heeft om nieuwe batterijen te gebruiken voor stationaire energieopslag. Batterijpacks die geen dienst meer kunnen doen in elektrische voertuigen hebben typisch nog een bruikbare capaciteit van meer dan 80%. Het is niet logisch om deze capaciteit verloren te laten gaan. Onze missie bij Octave is om deze batterijen uit elektrische voertuigen een tweede leven te geven en ze om te vormen tot een bron van broodnodige duurzame energieopslag.

CIRCULAIR
Elektrische mobiliteit zit in de lift en dat is een goede zaak. De productie van nieuwe Lithium-ion batterijen is echter vervuilend. Octave zet in op een circulaire waardeketen en verlaagt de totale CO2 voetafdruk van batterijen voor energiepopslag.
SPITSTECHNOLOGIE
In de Octave Battery Cloud wordt elk operationeel systeem opgevolgd en werken de meest geavanceerde algoritmes om de levensduur van de batterijcellen te verlengen. Het unieke design van onze batterijkast laat toe om snel en eenvoudig batterijmodules te vervangen.
HERNIEUWBAAR
Windturbines en zonnepanelen zijn de technologieën die goedkope en duurzame energie kunnen leveren. Batterijen zorgen voor flexibiliteit en kunnen de variabele productie van deze energiebronnen opvangen.

Jonas earned his Phd summa cum laude, while researching the topic of optimal control of battery energy storage systems in the electricity market. During and after his PhD, Jonas worked as an R&D engineer at one of Europe’s leading energy startups (REstore, now CBS) where he played a key role in developing REstore’s battery optimization capabilities.
