Our first-life battery system is designed for installation in an outdoor environment. The battery cabinet is weather-resistant and insulated, featuring integrated air conditioning and heating to maintain optimal conditions for the batteries when installed outdoors in an industrial or commercial setting.
The Octave One is easy to install and ensures reliable performance in any environment. The bidirectional battery inverter is integrated into the battery cabinet, along with a fire detection and extinguishing system.
The total energy storage capacity of the system is 215 kWh, and the inverter power is 100 kW.

The advanced liquid cooling system allows to maintain battery modules at optimal operating temperatures, improving battery efficiency and extending lifespan. The Octave containers integrate battery, inverter, and cooling system into a single outdoor enclosure. Their modular design and robust housing make them ideal for scalable energy storage in commercial and industrial applications.

Fire Safety

The Octave energy storage containers are equipped with first-life, Tier 1 LFP battery cells and an advanced Battery Management System (BMS), ensuring top performance, high reliability, and maximum safety.

With storage capacities of 3,343 kWh, 4,179 kWh, and 5,015 kWh, these 20 ft containers provide scalable solutions for a wide range of projects and energy needs. Thanks to liquid cooling and multi-level safety monitoring, the batteries always operate under optimal conditions.

Combining high energy density with space efficiency, the containers are designed for all outdoor environments, featuring IP55 and C4 protection against moisture and corrosion. Depending on the selected inverter, they are supplied with the appropriate number of DC outputs. Through the Octave EMS, intelligent coordination between the BMS and inverter(s) is ensured, guaranteeing safe and efficient system performance at all times.

Fire Safety of the Octave Container

At Octave, safety comes first. Our container solutions comply with the strictest international standards and are backed by recognized safety attestations and certifications. This ensures systems that are safe, reliable, and future-proof.

14-hour fire test: a world first in battery storage

The Octave container is part of a select group of systems worldwide that have successfully passed the exceptionally demanding 14-hour fire propagation test.

During this test, three fully charged containers of 5 MWh each were placed only 10 cm apart, with one container deliberately set on fire. The test is considered successful when:

  • the fire does not spread to the two adjacent containers;
  • fire detection and suppression systems are not activated;
  • the two remaining containers remain completely intact.

Our container passed this extreme trial with flying colors, proving that Octave solutions are among the safest on the market.

Highest international standard

The 14-hour fire test is one of the toughest fire safety trials for battery storage worldwide. Only a handful of manufacturers have ever taken on this challenge. The fact that our partner REPT Battero not only carried out the test but also passed it successfully underlines our shared commitment to safety, reliability, and quality.

Battery Management System

Our circular energy storage solution comes in both an indoor and an outdoor battery cabinet to suit your specific needs. The cabinets are designed for a smooth installation, and are made of durable and strong materials.

Our indoor battery cabinet uses energy-efficient air cooling, engineered to keep the second-life batteries in optimal shape.

Our outdoor battery cabinet is durable and weather-resistant. The insulated cabinet is integrated with air-conditioning and heating units to keep the batteries in an optimal temperature range while installed outdoors.

Both the indoor and the outdoor battery cabinets can be equipped with a fire detection and extinguishing unit.

Our Octave Circular battery cabinet houses used batteries from electric vehicles. When these batteries come out of the electric vehicle, they typically retain an energy storage capacity of 80% or more.

For stationary energy storage the lower requirements for charging power, better controlled temperatures and weight and space being less of priority, means that these batteries can easily last another 10 years.

We have designed a flexible and modular racking system to host these battery modules from electric vehicles. The racking system is able to host multiple types of batteries, and allows for quick replacement of specific battery modules, maximizing the lifetime of the system.

Our in-house designed battery management system keeps the batteries in safe operation at all times. We re-use part of the electric vehicle’s battery management system, designed to meet the highest quality automotive standards.

Our battery management system is developed to support batteries from different types of electric vehicles.

The battery management system connects to our Battery Cloud for fully remote monitoring and management. More than one million data points are logged per battery system per day.

The battery management system is housed in our battery protection unit, which is equipped with an array of electrical protection equipment. The protection unit is fully redundant, making sure the system operates safely and reliably.

We distinguish ourselves from traditional battery suppliers by leveraging data from the battery system and building up an extensive history of measurements from each battery cell. This data-centric approach is the foundation of Octave’s Battery Cloud.

Our Battery Cloud enables advanced Battery Care by monitoring every measurement from each battery cell in real-time. More than one million data points are logged per system, every day.

This detailed, remote insight allows us to ensure excellent system performance and increased safety. Anomalies are detected early, and system optimization is performed continuously.

All data is accessible in our Client Zone, where you can remotely consult and follow up on the historical performance of your battery system. Ad-hoc reports on the State of Health and other technical parameters are available upon request.

The Battery Cloud not only collects and stores this data; it also fuels advanced analytics. With this, we create digital twins of each battery cell and feed them into our State-of-Health models to assess remaining capacity. Machine learning continuously improves our understanding of system behavior in the field.

This enables predictive maintenance: Octave can accurately forecast when a battery module should be replaced — extending the lifespan and reliability of your entire system.
